The pots and pans are at the ready, as chefs from O Crualaoi’s in Fermoy are preparing to take to the stage in The Firgrove Hotel for a Christmas cookery demonstration in aid of St Fanahan’s College in Mitchelstown.
There was a great turnout for last year’s event and many people have been eagerly awaiting the details of this year’s cooking blitz. On the night, Friday, November 15, the award winning chefs will teach people how to transform their ordinary Christmas dinner into a deliciously extraordinary feast.
They will also be giving out invaluable tips and advice about how to make the best out of your ingredients, the best way to serve things and how to give the dishes that little touch of finesse.
To savour all of the dishes from the night, there will also be recipe books for sale so that people can have the recipes to hand when they don the aprons and recreate the culinary delights in their own kitchen. O Crualaoi’s are kindly giving out tasters on the night and they will also provide a mulled wine reception to get people in the festive mood.
This would be one of the school’s biggest fundraisers of the year and all support would be greatly appreciated. There will be a raffle on the night with great prizes up for grabs. Tickets are €10 and are available from O Crualaoi’s in Fermoy, Farrell’s Centra in Mitchelstown, from any member of St Fanahan’s Parent’s Council or from the school.
The Christmas cookery demonstration takes place on Friday, November 15, in The Firgrove Hotel, starting at 8pm sharp.
