A classical instrumental ensemble from the famous German musical city of Cologne, Chamber Philharmonia Cologne is at home all over the world and this highly entertaining eight-piece ensemble look forward to performing in Kilworth’s Village Arts Centre on this Sunday (Aug 5) at 3pm (note time).
The solo playing of first violinist Sergey Didorenko, is simply stunning and is worth the admission fee in itself, as is also that of cellist Christoph Jahn – both tried and tested with Kilworth audiences.
This time round, their programme includes the works of Vivaldi, Mozart, Paganini and Rossini.
The ensemble tour regularly take them to New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Great Britain, Ireland and many other countries – and of course to their native Germany. Their objective is simple, they want to inspire as many people as possible across all generations to enjoy classical music.
