With National Heritage Week 2016 continuing to be celebrated nationwide this week, Fota House & Gardens in East Cork are running a varied and exciting programme of events to mark the occasion.
They kicked off the week on Monday 22nd with their popular Children’s tour of Fota House, titled ‘Mrs Kevin’s Cat’. This visitor experience brings children and their families through Fota House on a hunt to solve a series of clues, which leads them to find ‘Kitty’, Mrs Kevin’s lost cat (Fota House’s Housekeeper)! Tour runs at 12 daily, places are limited so pre-booking is essential. Children must be accompanied at all times by their adults.
Visiting families are also joining in on the new ‘Digging for History’ tour in the award winning Frameyard Garden, a tour of amazing facts about the Frameyard space!
Running until Saturday 27th inclusive, why not enjoy a family visit to Fota’s Victorian Frameyard for a short tour and some seed planting before your children’s tour?! Book your Digging for History for Kids place at the same time! Booking essential (event free of charge) as places are limited. To book, call us now on 021 481 5543.
National Heritage Week celebrations run nationwide until Sunday, August 28th.
