There was an opportunity on Wednesday to see the new youth cafe in Fermoy when the CDYS opened their premises at Fitzgerald Place to the public for a fund-raising coffee morning.
The CDYS youth project, a drop-in service, counselling service and the community drugs project, are also now operating from the premises. They were previously based on the Pike Road and staff and young service users are delighted with their relocation to a more central area.
The spacious premises has been refurbished and decorated and, with more room, they've been able to set up a music room and set aside rooms for one-to-one counselling services. Their coffee morning on Wednesday was well supported.
