Castlelyons GAA are hoping to replicate the success of last year's fundraising draw. This year's draw was launched in Castlelyons Community Centre on Thursday night, July 30.

Club officers, players and supporters were addressed by chairman John Healy, who said with the necessary support the draw would be a success. Treasurer Donal O'Leary, said there was a lot of goodwill toward the club and he urged members to promote the draw.

Special guest on the night was, Mark Murphy of Murphy Vehicle Repairs, who is sponsoring the first prize of €500. Mark, who is an active member of the club, was sincerely thanked by John and Donal. The two officers went on to acknowledge the contribution of all the individuals and businesses who are sponsoring prizes - this generosity is much appreciated they said.

The first draw takes place in the Abbey Tavern on Saturday, September 19 and will be followed by a second drawn which is scheduled for Saturday, September 26 in Castlelyons Community Centre.

Lines at €10 each are for sale from any club officer. The draw has a prize fund of over €1,200.
