Katie Walsh from Carraig na bhFear has been honoured with a CIT sport award for her recent achievements particularly in athletics.
Current inter-varsity indoor champion at ‘Multi-events’ and an inter-varsity outdoor silver medallist in the high jump, she took 4th place in the 400 metre hurdles in the inter-varsity outdoor events and was a member of the CIT camogie team that won the 2018/19 League.
Katie, who is a first year Chemical Engineering students at CIT, is very dedicated to her sport and is ever-present at training for both her club and college and is always willing to help with all club events and activities.
