Cappoquin’s Jayson Molumby, has been selected for Ireland Manager Stephen Kenny’s first squad for the UEFA Nations League games away to Bulgaria and home to Finland early next month.
Midfielder Molumby has gone from strength to strength in his career since he began playing with Cappoquin Railway Football Club, to signing with Brighton and Hove Albion in 2019, and to now being selected for the Irish senior squad.
His proud mother Claire, spoke to The Avondhu on Monday following the announcement, saying: “It hasn’t really sunk in yet.”
