Calling all cancer patients, survivors, families and friends! The fight continues and the survival rates are increasing all the time, thanks to the research being done into Cancer diagnosis and treatment. The Lapping the Lough Event in Cork on Oct 6 is an attempt to bring patients together in a fun way, to celebrate the advances and to raise money for further progress.

This is not an athletic event! To lap the Lough (any time between 10am and 2pm) in any fashion is the aim – limping, hopping, crawling, pushing a buggy, wheelchair or a walking aid, walking, running; an ideal way to get a bit of exercise and have a chat. Children particularly welcome.

Support us to raise €50,000.00 to purchase an infra-red imaging system which allows for the monitoring of tumour growth in a research setting. The existing machine is broken beyond repair and needs to be replaced urgently

Alan Shortt will be there as will Darragh McGann (from The Voice of Ireland). For sponsorship card, contact Ann on LoCall 1890 998 998 or at www.breakthroughcancerresearch.ie.
