Cavanaghs of Charleville has long been synonymous with Ford in North Cork, but July saw the appointment of Cavanaghs as a BYD Dealer for the region. Trading under the name BYD Charleville, the dealership has had a busy start to life as a BYD Dealer with a lot of public interest in the vehicles since their introduction to the Irish Market.
Visibility of the BYD range of cars is starting to grow on Irish roads with lots of motorists familiar with models such as the Seal, Sealion 7 and Dolphin. And whilst a lot of customers are attracted to the Electric models within the line-up for their range and speed of charging, BYD has promised motorists in Ireland that it will be adding a number of models to its Hybrid offering in the New Year – to go along with the Seal U which is its first Plug-in Hybrid offering for the Irish Market.
BYD Ireland announced a series of finance offers this week, with all Electric models available at a very competitive 3.5% APR, whilst its Seal U Hybrid model is available at the slightly higher rate of 4.9%. The general consensus amongst the Irish motoring public is the that the level of specification and refinement available as ‘standard’ within the BYD model range tends to compare very favourably with other manufacturers who typically charge for the higher specifications within any given model series.
BYD Charleville will be participating in a National Open Week being hosted by BYD Ireland from November 3rd – November 8th and is inviting all members of the public who are curious about the BYD range to call to the dealership during this week to view and test drive the vehicles firsthand.
