Gardai are hunting a bungling gang of idiot burglars who left empty handed after they failed in their efforts to break into a shop in Galbally last week.
A video of the crime was released on local social media accounts in the hope to raise awareness of the crime in the burglary-blighted area of South East Limerick.
The video shows a saloon car pull up outside a premises in the village and while two men use a sledgehammer, bolt cutters and a large crowbar to break in to the shop, an accomplice acts as a look out.
The getaway driver stays in the car with the lights on, waiting to flee. Their efforts come to an end when the lookout runs back frantically and they flee from the scene.
