Scoil Mháirtín, Kilworth was forced to temporarily close its doors this week as the heating system throughout the school ceased to function for a number of days.
While the school remained open on Monday, parents were contacted and asked to take their children home in the cold conditions.
However, for those parents unable to return to the school during the day, pupils were accommodated.
A text alert was subsequently sent to parents on Monday night, informing them that the school would not open on Tuesday.
