The fund set up to assist injured cyclist, Brian Magner from Castletownroche, has been very well supported to date with the recent sponsored cycle proving a great success.
This cycle has been followed up by a golf classic which was held in Doneraile Golf Club on Friday and Saturday, May 8th and 9th. Friday was a washout but thankfully, Saturday dawned bright and sunny over this fine course. Indeed, by early afternoon, there was no evidence of the deluge that stopped play 24 hours earlier.
Organisers, Castletownroche GAA, spread their net far and wide and were rewarded with the attendance of teams from throughout Cork county and beyond. 67 teams declared, with some excellent golf served up .....
