From an electorate of 32,812, both Noel McCarthy (Lab) 3,511 and Kevin O’Keeffe (FF) 2,923 have filled the first 2 seats in the Fermoy area. Quota is set at 2,506 votes, from a 54% voter turnout. The total poll was 17,820 and with 284 spoiled votes, the valid poll was 17,536.
