A local social walking and hiking group has seen a surge in demand in recent weeks, as great interest has been expressed for two of their planned walks.
This week, founder of the Social Strides group, Aoife Regan, announced their ‘Community Walks’, the first of the series which begins in Fermoy on Thursday, January 22 has already reached capacity. Demand followed a Mahon Falls hike planned by the group being ‘overwhelmed’ with numbers, with over 300 requests to join.
Speaking with The Avondhu, Aoife explained that Social Strides are now 6 months in existence and have quickly packed a lot of events and outings into their calendar.
