A body was recovered from the River Blackwater in Fermoy early on Wednesday morning.
Following a call to emergency services at around 7.50am, the body of a male was recovered from the river at Ashe Quay in the town, opposite the Fermoy Community Youth Centre.
The body was taken to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem. The cause of the man’s death is not known at this time.
