3-year-old Matthew Kiely from Kilworth is battling serious illness. All proceeds from last Saturday's TJ Sweetnam Memorial Motorbike Run are going to assist medical expenses associated with his ongoing treatment.
While Saturday evening was a wash out, the morning and afternoon were fine and the mood was upbeat as bikers assembled to register in The Butcher's Bar, Kilworth.
One of the event organisers, Eugene Buckley, briefed participants before they departed.
Traffic Corp member, Garda Peter O'Loughlin, also had some words of advice for the motorcyclists.
