Fermoy’s own Steve O’Leary won a bronze medal at the Special Olympic World Games in Abu Dhabi last week with the Team Ireland soccer team.
Steve was a very influential player in all of Team Ireland’s matches over the two weeks and set up numerous goals as well as scoring a few himself.
Team Ireland left from Dublin airport on Friday, March 8 and there were plenty celebrities there to wish them well on their journey including one of Steve’s wrestling heroes, Finn Balor.
