Rebecca Saich, a member of the Comhaltas branch in Ballyduff, will feature on the radio programme, Céilí House on Radio 1 this Saturday, October 12 at 9pm.
Rebecca is a member of the successful band, Nuada, who won the prestigious Siansa competition in the National Concert Hall in April 2013. Nuada were interviewed last week by Kieran Hanrihan of RTÉ fame, who will devote an entire programme to this young and talented group from Meánscoil San Nioclás, An Rinn.
Rebecca recently travelled to Newfoundland, Canada with her brother, Jeremy, as musicians with the Ireland-Newfoundland Connections. This is a group that fosters the culture, heritage and social connections between the South East of Ireland and Newfoundland.
They performed at a number of venues and events throughout Newfoundland, including St Johns and Fogo Island. Rebecca and Jeremy featured on CBC radio and NTV during their visit.
