The 11 secondary school students in Ballyduff Upper were awarded their concessionary tickets for the school bus to Fermoy on Monday night last after a hard battle. 

The parents contacted as many local representatives, influential individuals and media outlets they could think of in an effort to highlight their plea and their defiance. 

On Monday night, their sleepless nights paid off when they got word that all 11 students will get a bus ticket. 

“To say that we are relieved would be an understatement. We would like to extend our utmost thanks and appreciation all who assisted us over the last two weeks,” said Siobhán Flynn, one of the parents involved.
