The Galty Valley Food Company, established by the O’Farrell family in 2014, has been awarded the McKennas’ Guides Plaque, recognising it as one of he very best places to eat in Ireland.

The McKenna’s Guides operated by husband and wife team John and Sally McKenna, are regarded as the ultimate independent guide to the very best of Irish food, shopping and hospitality.

The Galty Valley Food Company has been credited with taking the concept of mobile catering to a whole new level with its range of locally sourced, epicurean delights.

From their base in Kilbehenny, nestled the very heart of the Golden Vale where counties Cork, Limerick and Tipperary meet, the O’Farrell family and their team take their passion for food to venues all over the region, bringing customers a taste of some of Ireland’s most delectable local ingredients perfectly combined in specially created mobile kitchen.

Mary O’Farrell says that she has always been passionate about creating food that uses fresh, local, ingredients in dishes that really get people excited about what Ireland has to offer.

“With our Food Truck, we are able to bring top quality Irish cuisine to all sorts of venues right around Ireland. We source as locally as possible.”

The Galty Valley Food Truck returns home to Kilbehenny every Sunday where it immerses itself weekend life in the village, serving up its delicious, locally inspired fare.
