Dear Editor,

The boys and girls of the Avondhu boxing club, would like to say a big thank you to all who attended our first social. A great night was had by all who attended. A big thank you goes to Richard and Anne Flynn of the Avondhu Bar, for allowing us the use of their premises. A big thank you also goes to all the parents and family members who attended.

Many thanks to Noel Barnes of Barnes Jewellers who sponsored the Avondhu Boxing Club Shield and to all our sponsors, too many numerous to mention. Thank you to all committee members: Noel McCarthy (president), Tadgh O’Donovan (PRO), Michelle Flynn (secretary) and Anita Buggy Frawley (treasurer) who have done a great job during the year. Finally, continued thanks to Mike Moorehouse of Mike’s Tyre Centre who is our main sponsor.
