Are you at the early ‘ideas stage’ for a business or start-up?

The RDI innovation hub.

A fully remote event next month, held over the space of 22 hours, can see participants can go from having no startup experience to forming a startup, finding a potential co-founder and pitching live on stage.

The NDRC virtual Founder Weekend will take place live from the RDI hub in Killorglin over the weekend of February 9th -11th. Founder Weekend is organised by NDRC, the national accelerator programme for globally ambitious tech entrepreneurs in Ireland. The RDI hub is one of the regional partners, along with Republic of Work in Cork, Portershed in Galway and Dogpatch Labs in Dublin.

The event is aimed at those who are at the early ‘ideas stage’ for a business or start-up and being virtual, makes it accessible to everyone and anyone with or without an idea and removes obstacles to entry, such as access to childcare or arranging travel or accommodation considerations.

Gearoid Kearney is the Programmes Associate at the RDI hub and he describes this as a great opportunity for early-stage or concept-stage entrepreneurs.

“This Virtual Founder Weekend is a launchpad for Ireland’s aspiring entrepreneurs, transforming ideas into pitch decks through mentorship, workshops and networking.”

Founder Weekend takes place at the RDI Hub from February 9th to 11th kicking off on Friday at 6pm and wrapping up Sunday afternoon. The deadline to apply is Sunday, 4th February. To submit an application to join the weekend-long program visit https://www.ndrc.ie/founder-weekend
