It was all style in Araglin Community Centre recently, with a fundraising fashion show organised by locals benefiting Breast Cancer Ireland.

Tickets for the fashion show in Araglin held on March 14th last, were snapped up in double quick time. As a result, the event held in association with the late Mary Reidy-Kenneally and all those affected by cancer, was a complete sell out.

Fashion shows do require a lot of work, however, no stone was left unturned in planning a night that showcased an array of women's and men's fashions. Several local shops received prominent exposure from the show and the feedback from those who attended was very positive.

The refurbished community hall looked fantastic and the entire show was presented very professionally. Great credit is due to the organising committee of Mary Leddy, Siobhain Browne, Helen Leddy, Fiona Kenneally and Ena O'Sullivan who worked long and hard to make the fundraiser such a spectacular success. They received wonderful assistance and it was an event that everyone wanted to be associated with. The volunteer models all did a superb job.

While patrons enjoyed a most enjoyable night out, the real winners were Breast Cancer Ireland who stand to gain significantly from all the proceeds.
