The Rose of Tralee is big business for the tourist focused Kerry town. It’s also a massive national event that consistently tops the television ratings. It’s an occasion that thousands of people want to be associated with. While turning up and sampling the Rose of Tralee atmosphere is attainable, making the shortlist of Rose candidates is reserved for a select few. Among ‘the few’ this year is Araglin’s Shauna O’Sullivan.

It’s unchartered territory for Shauna, her family and very proud neighbours and friends. Good wishes have come from far and wide, her phone ‘hopping’ with messages of congratulations.

Spearheaded by Araglin Community Council, local groups and clubs have all got behind Shauna and Araglin is on very much of a high as they look forward to Shauna gracing the stage in the iconic Dome.
