The kitchen dining table is adorned with a teapot covered with a luxurious tea cosy, there are matching covers on the milk jug and sugar bowl and the colours complement the colour scheme of the room.
This is the kind of homely and traditional feeling that Anne O’Gorman creates with her beautifully hand crafted crochet items.
Originally from Greystones in Wicklow, but living in Mitchelstown for more than ten years with her two sons Paudie and Diarmuid, Anne has always been a creative person.
Through her business ‘Anne’s Creations’ she makes tea cosies, sets of hats and scarves, handbags, slippers and much more.
“I started crochet as a hobby and a sort of occupational therapy. I had learned a little bit when I was younger, but I taught myself as an adult,” Anne told The Avondhu.
