Ann Marie’s Dressing Room, a virtual on-line dressingroom headed up by Ann Marie Corbett of Mitchelstown, is one of 35 companies to have been selected as finalists in the SFA National Small Business Awards 2017.

Ann Marie’s company, which comes under the ‘Emerging New Business’ category for businesses of up to 50 employees and under 2 years in business, is pitted against 3 Dublin companies and one from Limerick.

Ann Marie came up with the idea where you can create your own customised mannequin and then, try on the latest fashion from the world’s leading high street and designer brands, then style your look from head to toe – before you buy online.

Trying on whatever you like – from dresses, tops, jackets, bags, shoes and more, Ann Marie’s Dressing Room allows to see what works together and what doesn’t.

The awards prize package for all finalists includes an exhibition stand at the SFA National Small Business Showcase in the RDS in February 2017, a strategic management masterclass weekend, as well as broad-ranging national and local media coverage valued at €50,000. Finalists also receive five complementary tickets to the gala prize giving ceremony which will take place in the RDS in March 2017 when the category winners and overall winner will be announced.

The category winners will be presented with a trophy and free membership of the Small Firms Association. The overall winner will also receive a bursary of €5,000 to present to a charity of their choice and a responsible business practices check-up and action plan from Business in the Community Ireland.
