Local rower, Alison Bergin has been named as one of the ‘Rowers to Watch’ by World Rowing as the 2023 World Rowing Under 23 Championships get underway in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Alison, who began her rowing career with Fermoy Rowing Club in 2015 has swiftly climbed the ranks, competing in several European and World Championships on Team Ireland.
Last year, Alison won the ‘Outstanding Achievement of the Year Award’ at the Rowing Ireland AGM after making her senior debut with the Irish Team at the world championships.
