If you’re a bit sceptical of things that go bump in the night, then Louise Bunyan’s photo of a ghostly figure lurking on Spike Island might be the piece of evidence you were looking for.
Louise Bunyan, who lives and works in Fermoy, was talking some atmospheric photos at the Spike Island After Dark tour which she attended on Sunday last.
As they approached Block A and B of the prison (Martin Cahill was in a cell in this section in the 1990s), Louise pulled out her phone once more to get a nice snap of the empty corridor in the candlelight.
She got a bit of a fright when the facial recognition circle came on despite the fact that the corridor was completely empty …
