According to Majella O’Regan, who manages the local furniture and gift store with her husband Noel and knowledgeable sales team, customers have already put away special pieces from Batavia for their friends, families and loved ones.
“At Batavia, you can put things away and pay it off over a number of weeks or pay a deposit and pay the balance when you come to collect it. Everything’s new this year, all the decorations are new, we have some new ranges of furniture that only came in last month, candles and pictures, and beautiful wall pieces.
“We have everyday pieces as well, and we have gifts for everybody in the line of throws, 100% wool or lambs wools, jewellery from Dublin, candles from Rathcormac. I’ve quite a few new Irish stockists in cards by Little paper mill, Vale ceramics, Jerpoint glass, Brid Fanning Prints and the Max Benjamin range exclusive to Batavia in Fermoy,” Majella said.
Most of Batavia’s furniture products are designed in-house and made mainly in Indonesia, while many of the products stocked in-store are created and produced by local, Irish and worldwide Artisans.
Batavia stocks several Irish and locally made products including Candles from Cassie and Coco, a Rathcormac-based brand and Lighting by Copperfish, Mishe Jewellery made in Dublin and many more.
