When Argentina’s Joaquin Tuculet touched down in the corner in the quarter-final of the Rugby World Cup against Ireland, a nation held its collective breath.
Match referee Jérôme Garcès, having consulted with the TMO, blew his whistle to signal a try and Nicolás Sánchez duly converted to push the Puma’s lead out to 12.
Three minutes later and the game was up, Juan Imhoff had gone over for Argentina’s fourth try and Ireland’s ugly record in World Cup quarter-finals continued …
