A busy, eventful, late and ultimately very successful opening night to Ballylanders Pattern Festival as the impressive Ballylanders GAA clubhouse complex hosted a Pattern Rose pageant in a Rose of Tralee format.

The biggest stumbling block to these type of events is securing the services of contestants, however, no such difficulties were experienced as 23 ladies, representing a variety of clubs and businesses made themselves available.

Male escorts were also signed up, however, in comparison to the 'work' the women had to do, these lads had an easy time of it ...
