FAS workers have been busy cleaning up two street corners in Fermoy. Local town councillor, John Murphy this week thanked them for their efforts in improving the look of the corners at both Clarke Street and Connolly Street.
“It’s long overdue but very welcome, as is the proposal to do the same at the Connolly Street-Kevin Barry Hill corner,” he told The Avondhu. Local residents too are pleased with the improvements, he said.
Cllr Murphy also welcomed the safety railing recently installed by the council at the busy junction of St Bernard’s Place on the Dublin Road in the town.
