Fianna Fáil TD for Limerick, Niall Collins, has welcomed the announcement that 100 jobs are to be created in Limerick with the expansion of the Vistakon plant in Plassey.
“Vistakon is a huge and loyal employer in Limerick and this announcement will bring the workforce to 700. With 200 temporary construction jobs also planned, this is great news for the Mid-West region which has suffered greatly during the recession,” Deputy Collins said.
“The boost for Limerick and the wider Mid-West region is not just confined to the jobs. The knock-on effects will lead to more service jobs being created and more money being circulated in the local economy.”
