Whilst many parents have heard of the benefits of using an iPad to support children who have special needs, an iPad often ends up as another toy or is used solely for watching videos. Some parents do not know the amazing learning tool that it is. There are now lots of Apps available and these can be customised to make them personal to a child’s needs.

As a service to these parents, a group of Cork professionals are organising a special training course for parents to give them the knowledge to change their iPad into a personalised learning tool. The course, grounded in the practical experience of these professionals who work in special needs education will be held in St Joseph’s Foundation in Charleville from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday, 13 April.
