Members of the Joint Policing Committee in Lismore at their recent meeting denounced an incident in the town in which two window boxes were stolen from outside the house of a semi-invalided woman. The woman was reported to have been very upset at the theft.

The meeting heard that the heavy window boxes were removed sometime overnight on Friday, March 1st. They were gratified to hear however that, following on from the matter being aired on local radio in Waterford, a caller had rung in, offering to replace the window boxes for her, free of charge.
