A pedestrian crossing between Kildorrery National School and the GAA field on the Glanworth approach road was included on the Fermoy area county council 2013 low cost scheme ‘wish list’, the area committee meeting of the county council heard on Monday.
Area engineer Brendan O’Gorman was responding to a motion tabled by Councillor Frank O’Flynn, which called on the council to put a pedestrian crossing in place there. He was told it didn’t get approval for funding this year, but that it would be included again on next year’s list.
