The Galtee District Forum, a network of nine communities in the area, will be hosting a free information talk by Diarmuid Cronin of Muintir Na Tire who will give advice on setting up and support existing community alert groups.

Also on the night, Richard Butler CEO of Grapevine, the service provider of community txt SMS alert which is in partnership between An Garda Siochana and Muintir Na Tire providing a text communication service to local communities, will speak about the new initiative being rolled out.

The venue is the Oaklawn Voluntary House, Fermoy Road, Kildorrery and it takes place on Tuesday, 9th April at 7.30pm sharp. Everyone is welcome on the night. More information can be had from Moss Fitzgerald on 087-8214991.
