CAMOGIE
The camogie club is holding a clothes collection for unwanted clothes, soft toys, towels, belts, shoes, handbags and curtains. You can drop the unwanted items at training up until April 20th. Your participation would be greatly appreciated.
TRAINING
Training for U8s, 10s and 12s is now taking place on Mondays in Ballylooby GAA Pitch at 7o’clock.
Well done to the girls in the U14 team who had a great win over Carrick Swans last Tuesday evening.
Well done to all the U12s who took part in their first blitz of 2013 in Carrick on Suir last Saturday morning. The girls played great camogie and had great sport while playing against Carrick Swans, New Inn and Thurles Sarsfields.
LADIES FOOTBALL
Last weekend our U14 team took part in the county Feile competition, which was held in Cahir. Having beaten Lattin/Cullen, Cahir and Aherlow the girls played the final against Moyle Rovers. Unfortunately, they were beaten by a stronger side but well done to them all for getting on so well.
The panel consisted of the following girls: Caoimhe Ryan, Laura Morrissey, Helena Walsh, Jane Hyland, Linda Murphy, Fiona Burke, Zoe Lynch, Michaela Rossiter, Kayleigh O’Brien, Roisin Murray, Norma Kennedy, Niamh Walsh, Ciara Hickey, Nadia Keating, Ciara Morrissey, Shannon Morrissey, Roisin Condon and Lorraine Burke.
Our senior team also lost to Moyle Rovers last Sunday in the first round of their league campaign. However, many of the starting players were missing, due to county commitments. Well done to the county team which includes Jackie O’Gorman, Jennifer Grant, Trisha Hickey and Mairead Morrissey, on their win over Sligo.
CONGRATS
Congratulations to Carmel Condon on her recent engagement.
