Councillors Noel McCarthy, Tadhg O'Donovan and John Murphy who are chairman, PRO and chairman of the litter committee of the local Tidy Towns respectively, are urging dog walkers to use the new 'pooper scooper' receptacles which were recently erected on two popular walking routes in Fermoy.

The stands have been placed on the Pike Road and Duntahane Road. The county council installed the facilities at the request of the local Tidy Towns group.

Tidy Towns are taking responsibility for emptying the receptacles and making sure they are continuously stocked with plastic bags. So please dog owners - use them!
