Community Garda John Hennessy in Mitchelstown is advising people in The Avondhu area to be extremely vigilant over this festive period in terms of looking after their property and personal safety.
It comes in light of reported instances of individuals calling to people’s homes and pretending to be members of An Garda Siochana. This is very serious as it’s a crime to impersonate members of the force.
