The Sinn Fein convention venue for Ireland South will be Cahir House Hotel at 11am on September 14, 2013. Sinn Féin party president Gerry Adams will be in attendance and deliver the opening address.

There will be a number of candidates on the ticket to contest this convention. At the time of going to press two candidates have declared an interest in seeking the nomination, Liadh Ní Riada and Cllr Chris O’Leary.

Both candidates will articulate Sinn Féin’s long held and constant policy on Europe. This view is one of critical engagement with the European Union.

Sinn Féin’s means to elect an MEP to tackle the current policies of austerity across Europe and stand to the Troika at home.
