One Mitchelstown man's participation in the Tour de Munster this year made a difference of €3,893 to the funds raised for Down Syndrome Ireland by the event.
It was Noel Considine's second year to take part. Other than some rain on the first day he said the event passed off well and he greatly enjoyed it.
Noel this week thanked Hanley's Butchers in Mitchelstown for their generous contribution of €1,000 towards his fundraising efforts. They helped out in another way too - hosting a special breakfast-cum-coffee morning which realised a further €1,000.
Noel thanks all those who supported that event and also everyone who sponsored him, raising his final tally to almost €4,000.
