Another incredible milestone was reached in the life of Mitchelstown native, Sr. Stan (Anna Kent from Ballinamona), when, among family and close friends, she celebrated her 104th birthday in Conna Nursing Home last Tuesday afternoon.
Her cousin, Fr Michael Reardon, now based in Long Beach, Los Angeles, but originally from Knocklong in county Limerick, said Mass. In his homily, Fr Reardon, said that Sr Stan has many gifts, but that her greatest, was faith.
“Through her commitment to God and her devotion to teaching, Sr. Stan, has touched the lives of so many, after 104 remarkable years, the light of faith is still burning in this wonderful person” he said.
