2025 brings many exciting new products to the brand’s lineup for Renault, and none more anticipated than the revival of the iconic Renault 5.
Renault 5 E-Tech electric was voted Car of the Year 2025 in January, a prestigious title awarded by the European Car of the Year jury, made up of 60 motoring journalists from 23 countries, a double for Renault following the victory of Scenic E-Tech electric voted Car of the Year 2024.
Now 100% electric, this stunning reinvention is now on sale in Renault dealerships nationwide and pricing will start from an extremely competitive €25,995 or €225 per month with PCP finance from MFS.
The Renault 5 E-Tech Electric will be available with two battery options—40kWh and 52kWh—each offering different power outputs. The entry-level 40kWh battery, paired with a 120bhp electric motor, delivers a range of up to 310km WLTP. Customers can choose from three trim levels: evolution, techno, and iconic, with pricing starting at €25,995 for evolution, €27,995 for techno, and €29,995 for the top-spec iconic—all prices include the SEAI grant.
Standard across all trims are Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and automatic climate control, Arkamys speaker system and automatic LED lights. The evolution trim features a 7-inch digital driver display, and a 10.1-inch OpenR Link multimedia system, rear parking sensors, and electric parking brake. Stepping up to techno adds diamond cut alloy wheels, Google Built-in, EV Route Planning, a rearview camera, and heated door mirrors. The range-topping iconic trim comes equipped with Chrono Diamond Cut alloy wheels, hands-free parking, heated seats and an advanced driver assistance system combining intelligent adaptive cruise control with lane keeping assistance.
The more powerful 52kWh battery, paired with a 150bhp electric motor, extends the driving range to 410km. This option is available in two trims: techno, priced from €30,995, and the flagship iconic, starting at €32,995.
A range of five vibrant body colours is available, two of which – Pop Yellow! and Pop Green! – are reminiscent of iconic shades that were present in the 1970s catalogue, with an intense sparkle-effect. Perhaps less iconic but equally stylish, the three other shades available are: Pearl White, Starry Black and Midnight Blue. The two-tone paintwork with the Starry Black roof is also available with the top-end (iconic) and mid-range (techno) trim levels. All models in the range wear 18-inch wheels as standard.
Renault 5 E-Tech electric’s new 11 kW AC bi-directional charger features V2L (vehicle-to-load) capability. With V2L, you can power a 220 V (up to 3,700 W) appliance from your car’s battery with a simple adapter.
The 11 kW charger fitted as standard on all versions makes Renault 5 E-Tech electric even more versatile and at that power rating, you can top up the 52 kWh battery from 15% to 80% in 3 hours and 13 minutes. For charging on the go, Renault 5 E-Tech electric’s 100kW DC charging capability tops the car up from 15% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
In addition to visiting one of Renault’s dealerships nationwide, those eager to experience the 2025 Car of the Year up close can do so at the new Renault Store in Dundrum.
“The Renault Store at Dundrum is a pioneering car retail concept, the first of its kind in Dundrum Town Centre, designed to highlight Renault’s ongoing transformation, known as the “Renaulution.” Over the past four years, Renault has dramatically evolved its lineup, launching eight new models in a very short space of time that feature bold new design, cutting-edge technology, and a strong commitment to electrification. This transformation has already led to significant success, with Renault securing the prestigious European Car of the Year title for two consecutive years, Irish Car of the Year title for Renault Scenic and International Van of the Year for the Renault Master.
The Renault Store @ Dundrum aims to introduce this new era of Renault to the public, engaging new audiences and reshaping perceptions of the brand,” said Seamus Morgan, Managing Director, Cedar Motors Ireland.
Since opening in mid-January, the Renault Store has welcomed over 20,000 visitors, immersing them in the world of “new” Renault. By showcasing its latest models in fresh and innovative ways, Renault is reinforcing its transformation and leadership in the electric vehicle market.
The Renault Store is located on Level 1 in Dundrum Town Centre. Visitors can pop in Monday to Sunday to browse the new range of Renault EV cars and consult with Renault experts, who are available to provide insights and advice on EV ownership, including charging, range, and everyday practicality.
