– don’t get caught out when attending events in Cork City this Summer

A recent survey of Irish motorists by Easytrip, Ireland’s leading smart mobility services specialist, shows that a staggering 84% have been late in getting to a large public event because of parking issues.

One of the company’s most popular services is its parking subscription which allows toll tag holders access to more than 40,000 parking spaces across the country in major off-street car parks.

The Easytrip parking services provide cashless and hassle-free parking solutions to registered users at the most popular parking locations in urban centres all across the country.

For people who are looking forward to attending any of the many events in and around Cork City this summer – for example Cork on a Fork August 4th-18th, or indeed, any upcoming gigs at Cyprus Avenue – Easytrip is highlighting that it provides easy, ticketless parking at six Cork city centre locations including:

  • Q-Park St Finbarr’s
  • Park it Here St Patrick’s Quay
  • Q-Park Grande Parade
  • Q-Park Carroll’s Quay
  • Q-Park City Hall

Speaking about a recent survey of Easytrip customers on the topic of parking at large public events, Sarah Stritch, Easytrip Marketing Manager, commented: “Our survey revealed that parking is a key consideration for half of the respondents when attending events. Nearly one in five motorists (17%) have opted not to attend an event due to worries about finding a safe parking spot, and 84% revealed they’ve missed the start of an event due to parking issues. Even if they do find convenient parking, 42% of respondents said they sometimes feel unsafe when returning to a dark car park.”

How Easytrip parking works

The Easytrip parking service offers contactless parking payment solutions to motorists with the use of an electric tag, without the need to take a ticket or queue at the paying station. The Easytrip tag is scanned on entry and exit to the car park and the parking fee is automatically deducted from the tag holder’s account.

Commenting on the company’s parking solutions, CEO of Easytrip Ireland, Colin Delaney said: “At Easytrip, we’re all about making motorists day to day lives that little bit easier and with our parking that means no more stress when trying to remember where you put your parking ticket – it’s straight in and out of the car park, no ticket machines, no queueing, very convenient and very secure.

“And another interesting finding from our recent parking survey is that nearly one in two motorists (47%) prefer an underground or multi-storey car park when attending events in cities/towns, making Easytrip parking the ideal choice for its ease of use and sense of security.”
