Fermoy’s protestant church (Christ Church) was the setting for last Saturday night’s concert, hosted by Fermoy Classical Music Society. This well supported show exposed patrons to the timeless music of Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Liszt and Debussy.
Fermoy Classical Music Society spokesperson, Orison Carlile, said the public were increasingly receptive to a style that transends language and culture.
“We’ve had a number of concerts and while not all have attracted large crowds, we’re delighted to be able to offer music lovers an opportunity to experience and enjoy the classical genre”.
