Fermoy insulation company, Solastech, is set to expand. Owner, Jason McNamara, is moving from his current premises on the Faber Castell industrial estate to bigger premises there. The move will allow him the space to open a new store in the new year selling all types of insulation products.

"I'm looking forward to the move. It's a new venture. We will keep doing insulation. We're very busy with that, it's going very well," Jason told The Avondhu this week.

Set up in 2008, the progressive young company has quickly built up a solid customer base to become one of the best established such businesses in the region.

As well as providing cavity wall and internal wall insulation works, attic insulation and domestic and commercial air tightness assessment, Solastech has benefited from being a registered BER assessor.

Solastech Home Insulation is registered with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and is a registered contractor for the Home Energy Saving (HES) Scheme.

Jason has a staff of six at present and hopes to take on two more "all going well" he says, with the expansion of his business.
