While there are hopes that Upper Cork Street in Mitchelstown will soon be transformed back to its original appearance, as it appears that works are coming to a finish on the building that partially collapsed over two and a half years ago, any noticeable work on another major project in the town, the Georgian Quarter, still remains some time away.

Thankfully, the works at the collapsed building at 49 Upper Cork Street are expected to be finished soon; the hoarding surrounding both number 49 and the adjacent buildings should be removed shortly thereafter.
