Neighbours and old rivals Ballylanders and Galbally will meet in the South Limerick senior football championship final on this Saturday, 7 December in Kilbreedy with a 7.15 throw-in.

With both clubs still involved in the knockout stages of the county U21 football championship, the game will give players a chance to keep in shape for their games the following weekend. When the sides met in the county senior football championship in Hospital during the summer, they finished level and form will be very hard to go by at this time of the year. The sides met in the 2012 final which was played in Kilfinane on 13 October and it was Galbally that scored the victory to lift the Corn Mhic Gearailt Cup for the first time since 1994 while Ballylanders were winners from 1998 to 2011.

A clash of neighbours always brings out the best in players and hopefully the game on Saturday will provide a good game to bring the curtain down of the divisional fixtures for 2013.
