Damien Horgan’s condition is seeing some positive developments, a number of weeks after an accident in Vietnam left him badly injured and on life support.
An update on the Doneraile man’s condition was posted by his niece Leah Sheehan on Monday this week, and she confirmed that there were ‘no concerns’ regarding Damien’s head following a CT scan.
She also noted that there was ‘quite some damage’ to his lungs, but that this was not surprising owing to significant pressures on his lungs, including from pneumonia.
Ms Sheehan confirmed that the sedation of Mr Horgan has been reduced, which is ‘a massive improvement in itself’, and earlier this week another family member, Colman, received the confirmation that Damien could hear him as he spoke to him.
